Welcome to Umbrella

Umbrella is a registered charity working to improve services and facilities for disabled children and their families living in Southern Derbyshire - that's the areas of Derby City, Amber Valley, Derbyshire Dales, Erewash and South Derbyshire.

The Service began in 1985 with one part-time worker and has grown into the organisation it is today - with over 20 members of staff working in many different projects. We provide a information and signposting service, family support workers, volunteer service, play and leisure coordinator, Bilingual development worker, Your Turn scheme, run the Daybreak service and manage the Umbrella Chalet. Each project reflects the needs of families who have children/young people with additional needs.
